A native of Detroit, Michigan and a graduated of
Perrysburg High School in Ohio, and Northern
Michigan University He began his career in collegiate
coaching in 1967 at Western Kentucky University.
From 1968 to 1973, he coached defense at
Georgia Tech. He coached for 21 years in the NFL,
and was an NFL broadcaster for over a decade. He
spent his final eight seasons as a head coach for
the Houston Oilers and the Atlanta Falcons. He was defensive
coordinator at the University of Hawai’i in 2005 and 2006. Name
head coach at Portland State in 2007. |
Danny Hope : Purdue University |

A native of Gainesville, Florida and a graduate of
Miami Killian High School. He played football at
Eastern Kentucky University for Roy Kidd. He was
a member of the 1979 Division I-AA National
Championship team, and was captain of the 1980
EKU National Runner-up team. He started his
coaching career at Manatee High School in Florida
in 1981. He was a GA at U of L under Howard
Schnellenberger in 1985-1986. He initially
coached with Coach Joe Tiller at Wyoming in
1996, and served at Purdue in 1997 to 1999. He was Assistant
Head Coach at U of L in 2002. He was named Head Coach at
EKU in 2003 and in five years he had a 35-22 record. He returned
to Purdue on January 11, 2008, and will become Head
Coach at Purdue upon the retirement of Coach Joe Tiller following
the 2008 Season. |

A native of Omaha, Nebraska, and a 11982 graduate of the University
of Miami where he played football. For Coach Howard
Schnellenberger. He was the offensive coordinator and quarterback
coach at Florida State University in a 15 year career under
Bobby Bowden. He coached two Heisman Trophy winners at
FSU in Charlie Ward and Chris Weinke. He was named the 25th
Head Coach at Georgia on December 26, 2000. He has lead the
Bulldogs to two SEC Championships. His winning percentage
ranks fourth best among active coaches. He was named SEC
Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2005. The 2007 Bulldog team
finished 11-2 with a win in the Sugar Bowl. They were ranked
number two in the country last year. |
Roger Hughes : Princeton University |

A graduate of Crawford High School, in Nebraska. He played
football at Doane College for three years. Started coaching at
Doane as a GA. He earned his PH. D. in Exercise Physiology in
1981. He served as a GA at the University of Nebraska before
serving as an assistant at the University-Wisconsin-Whitewater,
and Cameron University. He served at Dartmouth as an assistant
and as offensive coordinator for eight years. He move to
Princeton as Head Coach in 1992. His 2006 Tiger team was 9-1
winning the Ivy League title. He was named an Eddie Robinson
Award Finalist for the Division I-AA Coach of the Year Award in
2006. He specifically works with the quarterbacks and his success
is evident in the record books. Three of his quarterbacks
have placed in the top six in all-time passing at Princeton University. |
