When Ron Prince became the head coach at Kansas State in 2006 he was “coming home”. He grew up just 20 miles West of the Manhattan, Kansas campus. He came to K-State after 5 great years at Virginia where he was the coordinator at a high powered offense. Ron got the Wildcat program off to a great start. With a postseason bowl bid in 2006 and big wins over the Texas Longhorns in 2006 and 2007. The second youngest Division IA head coach in the country, he previously coached at Alabama A & M, South Carolina State, James Madison and Cornell before his tenure at Virginia. His clinic subject will be “The Three B’s of offense – Blocking, Breaking Tackles and Ball Security”. |

Johnson took over a program that had posted a 1-20 record the previous two years before his arrival in 2002. After a 2-10 mark in his first year, Johnson has brought the Midshipmen back into the national spotlight with a 35-15 (.700) record over the last four years and has led Navy to a school-record four straight bowl games and a school-record four-consecutive Commander-In-Chief’s Trophies. Johnson’s .744 career winning percentage (99-34) ranks 10th among all active coaches. Johnson came to Navy from Georgia Southern, where he posted a 62-10 (.861) record, won two straight IAA National Championships (1999 and 2000), and was named the Division I-AA National Coach of the Year four consecutive times (1997-2000). He will speak on “Navy Option and Play Action Drills and Schemes.” |

Butch Davis, former head coach at the University of Miami and the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, was named the Tar Heels’ head coach in November 2006. Since taking over the reins in Chapel Hill, Davis has been relentless in his approach to turning around the program. Despite having just over five weeks to recruit, Davis and his staff flourished, signing a consensus top 20 class. Davis brings instant credibility to the football program. He either recruited or coached nearly all the players from Miami’s 2001 National Championship team. He also coached in two Super Bowls as an assistant with the Dallas Cowboys. He entered the 2007 season ranked among the top 15 winningest active coaches in Division I. His Orlando topic will be “Developing an Offensive Identity with Your Core Runs.”

Chizik, in his first year as the Cyclones head coach, came from the University of Texas where he was the DC for the Longhorns National Championship Team in 2006. Chizik won the Frank Broyles Award honoring the Nations top Assistant Coach at Auburn in 2004 where his defense led the Tigers to an undefeated (13-0) season and the #2 National ranking. Prior to Auburn he was the DC at UCF for 4 years. Chizik is sure to turn the Iowa State program around as evidenced by his early season upset of the Iowa Hawkeyes. A native Floridian, Chizik started his coaching career at Seminole High School in St. Pete. He will lecture on “The 4-3 Defense” in Orlando. |

One of the nation’s
most dynamic and energetic head coaches, Ron Zook’s Illini have been the
surprise of the BIG 10 this season with early conference wins over Penn
State and Indiana. Known as a tireless worker and recruiter, Zook for
the second straight year, signed a nationally ranked recruiting class,
one that landed among the top-15, arguably the highest rated in school
history. Zook has now logged 32 years of coaching experience at the
collegiate, professional and high school level, including the University
of Florida program for three years, 2002-2004, posting an overall mark
of 23-14 and 16-8 in Southeastern Conference action. A defensive
specialist, Zook coached 3 NFL teams and was the DC with New Orleans.
He will speak on “8 Man Philosophy Illinois Defense” at the Orlando
clinic. |

In his first six years heading up the Bulldog program, Mark Richt made it clear that winning with consistency will be a standard for years to come. His Georgia teams won three SEC Eastern Division titles, two SEC championships, and his 61-17 record was fifth best in the country in winning percentage among actives coaches (.782). Richt, a 1982 graduate of the University of Miami, coached the quarterbacks for 14 seasons at FSU. As offensive coordinator, he developed offenses that were among the most prolific in college football history and a long list of excellent quarterbacks including two Heisman Trophy winners: Charlie Ward and Chris Weinke. Coach Richt will be the featured speaker at the FCA breakfast Sunday morning before lecturing on “UGA’s Shallow Cross Package” at the clinic.
