SCOUTING REPORT -In
planning your 2008 football season, circle
February 15, 16, and 17, 2008 for the Louisville Coach of the Year Clinic. The
47th annual clinic will be held at the Galt House East Hotel. The clinic starts
Friday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m. with the State High School speakers. A staff
of outstanding speakers will be lined up for you and your staff. Our finalized
clinic schedule will be mailed in early January.
REGISTRATION FEE
-A Pre-Registration Form is
enclosed. Register by February 8, 2008 and save $10 per coach. Pick up
Pre-Registration Name Tag at the Clinic Headquarters located in the Galt House
East Hotel on 2nd floor. Proper Identification is required. Because of the large
crowd expected, we set Pre-registration dates so we can prepare name tags in
advance. You must wear the Name Tags for all session. We encourage entire
coaching staffs to pre-register and save. NO REFUNDS AFTER FEBRUARY 8, 2008.
TAX DEDUCTION
-Expenses for attending the Coach of the
Year Clinics are deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes when such
expenses are properly documented with receipts. Such expenses include
registration fees, clinic manual, travel, hotel, meals, and related
expenses. Receipts for tax records available at the clinic.
PAST CLINIC
MANUALS -Manuals from past years on sale at
the Clinic — Take them with you as long as they last. Manuals for sale
include: 2007-2006-2005-2004-2003 -2002-2001-2000, and Clinic Notes -
2007-2006-2005-2004.
2008 CLINIC
MANUAL and CLINIC NOTES - 2008 -The Manual
is Not included in the Clinic Registration. However, you may include the
cost of the 2008 Clinic Manual and Clinic Notes 2008 in the payment for
the Clinic Registration. The fee for the Manual and Notes for coaches
attending the Louisville Clinic is $22.00 per publication.
MAILING DATES
— Manual mailed the second week of May
2008. The Notes 2008 will be mailed the third week of May, 2008. Cost of
the Manual and Notes after April 1, 2008 will be $32.00 each. The Manual
will have 36 lectures from College Coaches. The Notes feature 36
lectures of High School Coaches from our Nike Clinics.
NIKE CLINIC
DVD’s—We will have several DVD’s by
speakers from the past two Nike Clinics. You can view the videos on our
website: www.nikcoyfootball.com — go to Manuals and Books.
HOTEL
RESERVATIONS—Reservations should be made as
soon as possible. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Galt House
East Hotel. The hotel deadline for reservations is January 15, 2008.
After this date, the hotel release rooms to the public. Call the hotel
after this date to see if they still have rooms available.
SPECIAL ROOM
RATES—Most rooms in the Galt House East
Hotel are Executive Suites. (A room has two double beds, a kitchenette,
and a wet bar.) Coaches get a special rate of $114.00 per room per
night, PLUS 10.25% State and Local Tax. One, two, three, or four coaches
per room – cost is the same. *Limit 4 coaches per room. We have a
limited number of rooms available across the street in the Gale House
West Tower. Cost is $94.00 per room, plus 10.25% State and Local Tax.
Some rooms do not have two beds available. Ask the hotel operator taking
your reservation to make sure you get the type room you need for the
clinic.
ROOM GUARANTEE—To
ensure a reservation, the hotel requires one night's deposit using
either a check, money order, or a major credit card with the expiration
date and signature. The deposit must be charged to the Credit Card at
the time the reservation is confirmed, and it is fully refundable if
cancellation is made 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival. Remember,
there is no charge to make your hotel reservation early. Send hotel
registration fees and form to the hotel. Return the enclosed hotel
registration form to the Galt House East Hotel, or call for
reservations: (AC-1-502-589-5200 - 1-800-6261814). You need to Indicate
you are with the Nike Coach of the Year Have credit card ready when
calling for confirmation

a convention town and The Galt House will
