     Coach Pannoni has  been a head coach at four high schools in Virginia, all in Northern Virginia, all of which qualified for the VHSL state Playoffs. During his twenty years as a head football coach, his teams have won seven conference championships, two regional championships, appeared in three state semi-final games, winning two and winning one state championship, this past season, going 15 - 0. During this time he has  also been fortunate enough to win seven conference coach of the year awards, two region coach of the year awards and one state coach of the year award. Off the field, he has been honored with being named FCA Coach of the Year, USMC Coach of the Year, Dunkin Donuts Community Hero Award, AFCA Nation's Capital Region Service Award, Fairfax County Football Hall of Fame Coach of the Year, three times,  and finally had the honor of having the South County High School Ring of Honor named after me.

Mike Engelberg is originally is from Orlando, Florida where he was an all-conference player at Trinity Prep. Coach Engelberg attended Georgia Southern University as an undergraduate and served for three seasons as a student assistant coach for the football team. He then completed a coaching internship at the University of Florida under Steve Spurrier and his staff. Coach Engelberg made stops at Trinity Prep and St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School before becoming the head coach at Maret in 2006. During his tenure at Maret, the Frogs have won 88 games and both the 2016 and 2019 DC State Championships along with the MAC title in 2016. Coach Engelberg has twice been named the Washington DC Football Coach of the year in his tenure.  His program has produced numerous all-league, all-state and all-met performers, over forty college football players, and one NFL player

 Jared Van Acker- Head Football Coach- W.T Woodson HS, VA
Coach Jared Van Acker has served as the head football coach atW.T Woodson H.S, a 6A school located in Northern Virginia for the last three years. He led the Cavaliers to an 11-2 record,Patriot District championship, and 6A Region Runner-Up in 2018
where he earned Coach of the Year. He previously coached three years as the head football coach at Grafton High School, located in Yorktown, Virginia. He led the Clippers to three consecutive 4A playoff appearances, winning the Region 1 championship in 2011. At the end of the 2010 season, he was named Coach of the Year for the Bay Rivers District. He served three years as an assistant coach at William Campbell High School in Virginia, where he helped coach the Generals to a state championship in 2005. He served one season as an assistant at Carthage High School in Illinois, where they finished as state runner-up. He played three years of college football at Quincy University, located in Quincy, IL. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Western Illinois University and graduated from J.D Darnell High School in Geneseo, IL. He also recently received his Master’s Degree from Ohio University in Coaching Education. He has had numerous professional articles that have been published by the national football coaching magazine, American Football Monthly. He also has a DVD-series based on his offensive and special team schemes produced by American Football Monthly as well.  He has been married to his wife Kim, for 13 years and they have a 10-year old son, Caleb, and a 6- year son, Mason.

 

RICKY IRBY

HFC- HOPEWELL HS, VA

Ricky Irby has been the head coach of the Hopewell Blue Devils since 2010.  He was the offensive line coach at Hopewell High School from 2000-2010.  Blue Devils have advanced to at least the second round of the playoffs in every year since 2012 including state semi-final appearances in 2015 and 2016 and a state championship in 2017 and 2019. Before becoming the football coach at Hopewell, Coach Irby was the head baseball coach there from 2005-2010.  Coach Irby is an alumnus of Hopewell High School and Virginia Tech c/o 2000.  He is married to his high school sweetheart Nicole.  They have a daughter Campbell who is 16 and a son, Jake who is 13.

GARETT TUJAGUE-OL

Garett Tujague

Garett Tujague is in his third season coaching the offensive line at Virginia. He worked in the same capacity at BYU for Bronco Mendenhall from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that he worked for 15 seasons at the College of the Canyons in California where he was the head coach for his last six seasons at that school.

 He was named the Southern California Football Association National Conference Coach of the Year in 2008 following a 12-1 season. He was also honored as the Western States Conference Co-Coach of the Year in 2007 after a 9-3 record.

 As a player, Tujague was a left guard at BYU under LaVell Edwards from 1989-1991. During his senior season he helped to protect Heisman Trophy winner and consensus All-American quarterback Ty Detmer. The Cougars won the Mountain West conference championship all three seasons Tujague was in Provo.

 Tujague and his wife, Cami, are the parents of three children.

 

Marques Hagans

A former standout quarterback and wide receiver at Virginia, Marques Hagans is in his sixth season coaching at his alma mater. A native of Hampton, Hagans was a four-year letterwinner at UVA from 2002 to 2005 and currently ranks No. 7 all-time in passing for the Cavaliers with 4,877 yards.

 He was a fifth-round pick by the St. Louis Rams in the 2006 NFL Draft and played four years in the NFL.

 Last year Hagans’ wide receivers became the first unit in UVA history to produce three 600-plus yard seasons. Olamide Zaccheaus led that group by setting a UVA single-season record with 85 catches. Hagans has coached seven wide receivers at UVA who have amassed 1,000 career receiving yards.

 He and his wife, Lauren, a former Cavalier women’s basketball player, have two sons.

CHARLIE PIERCE

Former Head Coach, Briar Woods High School

Charlie Pierce in 2016 completed his 30th year as a coach, 17 of those years as a Head Coach at Park View and Briar Woods High Schools.  During those years he led his teams to 7 District Championships, 5 Regional Championships, 2 State Runner-ups and 3 State Championships.  For his team accomplishments, Coach Pierce was named to numerous District, Region, and State Coach of the year honors. In 2013, he was recognized as Washington Post All Met Coach of the Year. His overall record is 148-54 as a head coach. A graduate of Shepherd University with a degree in Biology, Pierce was inducted into the Shepherd University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995.
