Kirk Ferentz is in his 18th season as head football coach and 27th season overall at the University of Iowa. Ferentz led the 2015 Hawkeyes to a perfect regular season, setting a school record with 12 wins (12-2). The Hawkeyes won the Big Ten Conference West Division (8-0) reaching the championship game. The Hawkeyes earned Iowa’s first invitation to the Rose Bowl in 25 years. Ferentz was recognized with both the Hayes-Schembechler & Dave McClain Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year awards. He was named the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Region 3 Coach of the Year and received numerous other awards. Ferentz has guided Iowa to 13 bowl appearances in 17 seasons. Ferentz has led Iowa to 76 Big Ten victories and 127 overall wins as a member of the Big Ten Conference
